Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned press release issued by the second respondent dated 02.02.2025 and the impugned proceedings bearing No.C.No.01/H1PS/2025 dated 31.01.2025 issued by the fifth respondent which was issued prior to the press release dated 02.02.2025 issued by the second respondent and the press release issued by the Madurai City police dated 02.02.2025 under the control of the second respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents not to restrict the devotees and their vehicles from going to Sri Arulmighu Subramaniyasamy Temple, Thirupparankundram "Theppa Thiruvizha" celebration festival.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by J. NISHA BANU, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition to quash the impugned press release issued by the second respondent dated 02.02.2025 and the impugned proceedings bearing No.C.No.01/H1PS/2025 dated 31.01.2025 issued by the fifth respondent which was issued prior to the press release dated 02.02.2025 issued by the second respondent and the press release issued by the Madurai City police dated 02.02.2025 under the control of the second respondent and consequently direct the respondents not to restrict the devotees and their vehicles from going to Sri Arulmighu Subramaniyasamy Temple, Thirupparankundram "Theppa Thiruvizha" celebration festival. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the first respondent stated that nothing survives for further adjudication in the Writ Petition. 3/6
