ORDER : This sub application coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.J.RAVINDRAN, Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.S.SHAJI BINO, Special Government Pleader for the petitioner and of Mr.AAYIRAM K.SELVAKUMAR, Advocate on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- Pursuant to the statutory notice issued by this court on 12.01.2024, the respondent/ contemnor has filed the present application to dispense with his appearance.
2. It is submitted that due to the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition, the contemnor could not appear before this court. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the affidavit, the petition is allowed and the appearance of the respondent/contemnor is dispensed with for the present.
3. Post the main contempt petition on 23.02.2024. If the order is complied with by then, a compliance report shall be filed, failing which, respondent/ contemnor shall be present.
