PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to renew/re-issue the petitioners passport pursuant to Application No.MD207377229721. ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the second respondent to issue passport to the writ petitioner based upon his application No.MD207377229721.

2. The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for the third and fourth respondents brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner has been implicated in a criminal case in Cr.No.278 of 2020, on the file of the fourth respondent police which has culminated in filing of a charge sheet in S.C.No.344 of 2023, on the file of the learned Sub Court, Eraniel. 2/5

3. In view of the above said facts, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned trial Court seeking permission of the Court to go abroad. In case if any such application is filed, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four weeks. Based upon the orders to be passed by the learned trial Court, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. 09.02.2026 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet: Yes/No RJR 3/5
