Respondents/Investigating Agency PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to set aside the dismissal order in Crl.MP.No.725 of 2014, dated 18.06.2014, on the file of the learned the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Land Grabbing Cases, Thoothukudi, and consequently directing the 2nd respondent to register the case on the complaint of the petitioner dated 19.02.2014 within the stipulated time limit.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to set aside the dismissal order in Crl.MP.No.725 of 2014, dated 18.06.2014, on the file of the learned the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Land Grabbing Cases, Thoothukudi, and consequently directing the 2nd respondent to register the case on the complaint of the petitioner dated 19.02.2014 within the stipulated time limit. 2.When the matter was posted for admission on 12.12.2014, at request of the petitioner, it was ordered to post on 21.01.2015. Thereafter, the learned counsel for the petitioner only took adjournments. Therefore, the matter is pending for the past 4 years without even ordering notice or admitting by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.It seems that the petitioner has no interest to proceed with the matter, further. More over, the case is of the year 2014. Therefore, this Court is of the view that the pendency of this criminal original petition would not serve for any purpose. 4.In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
