ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to give adequate police protection during Maha Kumbabishega Festival will be conducted on 07.02.2026 and 08.02.2026 in the Arulmighu Sri Poornakala, Pushpa Kala, Samedha Sri Peramayanar Swamy Temple situated at Thoppanayagam Village, Chenniyaviduthi Panchayat, Thiruvonam Taluk, Thanjavur District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2025.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a Hereditary Trustees of Arulmighu Piramar Temple, recognized by the HR and CE Department. The petitioner is seeking police protection for conducting Maha Kumbabishega Festival.
3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police and perused the materials available on records. 4.In view of the submissions made by both sides, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2025, after considering the objections by all the share holders. The respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation in the light of the order passed by the HR and CE Department, dated 06.01.2016. 5.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
