O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the first respondent to instruct the second respondent not to harass the petitioners and their family members.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent Police. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the petitioner's son involved is in crime No.25 of 2020 which has been registered for illicit sand mining. He would further submit that the son of the petitioner has been detained as a "sand offender".

CRL.O.P (MD) No.3303 of 2020 4.At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's son has been detained as sand offender and the petitioner has also filed a Habeas Corpus Petition. He would further submit that the third respondent, who is the sub inspector of Police, Thirumayam Police Station and the second respondent are continuously harassing the petitioner and her family members, in respect of which, a representation has been made to the District collector on 11.02.2020 and to the first respondent Police. Since no action has been taken by the first respondent police till date, the petitioner has approached this Court. 5.In view of the same, a direction is issued to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thirumayam, Pudukkottai District, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2020 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.Recording the same, this criminal original petition is closed.
