ORDER

The petitioner seeks issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to conduct survey of his land in S.No.1244/1Y measuring 1200 sq.ft situated at Indira Nagar, Vadaputhupatti South, Vedaveeranayakkanpatti Village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District.

2. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

4. The petitioner has made an online application on 07.10.2023 seeking survey. The grievance of the petitioner is that his application has been kept in cold storage for two years and hence, the writ petition has been filed.

5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the application of the petitioner would be acted upon and survey would be conducted within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Recording the said submission of the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, the writ petition is allowed directing the second respondent to conduct survey of the petitioner's land, based on the online application dated 07.10.2023, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
