[Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble CHIEF JUSTICE] It is submitted by Mr.K.P.Krishnadoss, Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents that no permission for conducting jallikattu has been granted.

2. In such circumstances, when an informed decision has been taken and there is a presumption that the concerned officials would have taken such decision keeping the larger public interest in mind, there is no good ground to interfere therewith.

3. W.P.(MD) No.3575 of 2021 is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make a representation in future for due consideration thereof by the official respondents. However, when the respondents perceive that the situation is not appropriate for the conduct of such activities as sought by the petitioner, the Court should yield to the better wisdom of the local administration unless mala fides can be established. There will be no order as to costs. W.M.P.(MD) No.2900 of 2021 is closed.
