Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents No. 1 to 3 to give necessary police protection to the petitioner for conducting Fast in connection with the non-performing and releasing the petitioner's legal emoluments along with other benefits to be provided by the 4th respondent. ORDER

The petitioner herein wanted to hold a protest against the fourth respondent/educational institution. In this regard, he filed a writ petition before this Court. By an order dated 09.12.2019 in W.P.(MD)No.12623 of 2015, I had directed the Assistant Commissioner of Police (L & O), Trichy to permit the petitioner to hold his https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Cont.P.(MD)No.317 of 2020 protest. The petitioner feeling aggrieved by the location and the site allotted to him has filed this contempt petition. The petitioner's counsel has also filed a memo expressing his dissatisfaction. According to him, the site allotted is under a fly over and is more a parking place for vehicle. 2.I categorically told the learned Government Advocate that the petitioner must be allotted a place where dharnas are normally conducted. The learned Government Advocate produced before me a bunch of photographs which indicate that the vacant place opposite to a shop namely., Star Gold Covering is the place where dharnas are normally conducted in the said locality. The learned Government Advocate has made available a bunch of photographs indicating the holding of such dharnas by various political groups. I make it clear that the petitioner also will be permitted to hold his protest on an appropriate date but at the very same site and venue. 3.With this direction to the respondents, the contempt petition is disposed of.
