ORDER
This civil revision petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a direction to the learned First Additional Subordinate Judge, Tiruchirappalli to dispose of E.P.No.183 of 2000 in L.A.O.P.No.1 of 1997 expeditiously.
2.According to the petitioner, the respondent herein as Referring Officer has acquired the lands belongs to the father of the petitioner, comprised in Survey No.118/1A of Poolangudi Village, Tiruchirappalli Taluk, admeasuring 1.58.0 hectares for the purpose of giving house-sites to the houseless Adi-Dravidar families and awarded a compensation of Rs.4,22,362/-. Against the award, the father of the petitioner filed L.A.O.P.No.1 of 1997 and the Court below awarded Rs.17/- per square feet. On appeal, this Court reduced the amount of compensation from Rs.17/- to Rs.9/- per square feet, against which, the father of the petitioner filed Civil Appeal No.36 of 2004 and the Hon'ble Supreme Court modified the amount of compensation at Rs.11/- per square feet. In order to execute the decree, the petitioner filed E.P.No.183 of 2000. The grievance of the petitioner is that though L.A.O.P.No.1 of 1997 was filed in the year 1997 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
E.P.No.183 of 2000 was filed in the year 2000, E.P.No.183 of 2000 is still pending and the respondent has been dragging on the matter one way or the other and therefore, he has filed this revision petition seeking a direction for early disposal of E.P.No.183 of 2000.
3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner and also considering the fact that the disposal of this petition, would not cause any prejudice to the respondent, this Court is of the view that notice need not be sent to the respondent. 4.Considering the fact that E.P.No.183 of 2000 has been adjourned on various dates and also considering the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without adverting to the merits of the case, is inclined to direct the Court below to dispose of E.P.No.183 of 2000 in L.A.O.P.No.1 of 1997 on merits and in accordance with law as early as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Both the parties are directed to cooperate with the Court below for early disposal of the same. 5.Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
