O R D E R

The learned Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that as per the order of this Court, totally, a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- and the remaining Rs. 2,00,000/- was paid through Cheque No.000242, dated 25.08.2023 and Cheque No.000243, dated 10.09.2023, which were sent through registered post. The same were acknowledged and encashed by the petitioner. A memo is filed to this effect and the same is extracted hereunder:

"It is respectfully submitted that, as per the order of this Hon'ble Court, directing the contemnor to pay a total sum of rupees 6 lakhs, already a sum of rupees 4 lakhs has been paid to the petitioner. The remaining sum of rupees 2 lakhs, through a Cheque No. 000242, dated 25.8.23 and Cheque No. 000243, dated 10.9.23 (each for 1 lakh), has been sent through a registered post, to the petitioner and the same was acknowledged and encashed by him.

The order of this Hon'ble Court is complied with, and therefore it is prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to close the above contempt petition and thus render Justice."

2.Since the order passed by this Court is complied with, the contempt petition is closed. No costs.
