O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second and third respondents to measure and demarcate the petitioner's land bearing Survey No.630/6B, measuring an extent of 20 cents, situated at Pathirakaliamman Street, Old Police Land, Rameswaram Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 26.12.2025.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has submitted an online application seeking survey of Page No. 2 of 6

the property in question and demarcation of its boundaries and has also made a representation.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first to third respondents would submit that there is a civil dispute between the petitioner and the private parties.

5. In response, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is not even a party to the said civil suit.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first to third respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation would first be considered and thereafter the request for survey would be taken up and the proceedings would be conducted in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

7. Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the second and third respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy Page No. 3 of 6

of this order. The petitioner and all other interested parties shall be afforded an opportunity of hearing before passing such orders. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the competent Civil Court. Thereafter, if the authorities find that the survey can be undertaken, the second and third respondents shall survey and demarcate the petitioner's land, after considering the claims of all parties and pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Before conducting the survey, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested parties, if any and if required, police assistance may also be taken.

8. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
