3.M.Murugan : Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to secure and produce the body or person of petitioner's daughter namely, Sumathi, daughter of Lakshmanan aged about 17 years old before this Court and hand over the detenue to the petitioner.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by B.PUGALENDHI, J] Ms.V.Thilagam, Inspector of Police, Nanguneri All Women Police Station is present.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Sumathi, aged 17 years went missing from 08.01.2019 and on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.1/2019 was registered under Section 363 IPC, despite which, no serious efforts were taken by the police to trace the girl. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

3. Today, on instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the third respondent was arrested and

remanded to custody on 06.03.2019 and the offences have been altered into one under Sections 363, 376(2) IPC and Sections 5 and 6 of the POCSO Act and girl was secured. The petitioner is also present before this Court.
