P RAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's above appeal on the basis of his proceedings in letter No.G2/7263956/2024 dated 09.05.2024 as expeditiously as possible.

ORDER

Considering limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner has made an application for issuance of patta, however, the same was rejected by the second responded on the ground that the subject lands are classified as water body. Aggrieved by the said order, the petitioner has filed an Appeal on 24.04.2024 to the first respondent herein. The first respondent has, in and by proceedings dated 09.05.2024, directed the second respondent to enquire into the matter and file a report.

3. According to the petitioner, the file is pending with the second respondent without any further action and hence, she has failed the present writ petitioner.

4. Considering that the appeal has been filed way back on 24.04.2024 and the first respondent has also directed the second respondent to conduct an inquiry and file a detailed report, it suffice to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the second respondent to conduct an enquiry and submit a report to the first respondent, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
