PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to permit the petitioner to participate and claiming his vested right of worship during the celebration of Sri Chinna Ayyan Kovil Maha Sivarathiri Festival in Keeranur Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District without insisting the petitioner to file the civil suit for his remedy based on the representation of the petitioner dated 15.01.2020.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

2.The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to permit the petitioner to participate and claiming his vested right of worship during the celebration of Sri Chinna Ayyan Kovil Maha Sivarathiri Festival in Keeranur Village, Melur https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.3251 of 2020 Taluk, Madurai District without insisting the petitioner to file the civil suit for his remedy based on his representation dated 15.01.2020. Now, due to efflux of time, nothing remains to be adjudicated in the present petition and hence, the same is dismissed. No costs.
