Prayer: Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to expedite enquiry of the petitioner's application in Na.Ka.No.1789/2023/A1 and pass the appropriate order on merits within a stipulated time framed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to expedite enquiry on the petitioner's application in Na.Ka.No.1789/2023/A1.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the first respondent. Since no adverse order is going to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the second respondent is dispensed with. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner made an application to the first respondent on 03.10.2022 for cancellation of subdivision and also patta, which was numbered as Na.Ka.No.1789/2023/A1. Since the same has not been disposed till date, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. The learned standing counsel appearing for the first respondent submits that the petitioner's application will be disposed of in accordance with law by the first respondent within the time stipulated by this Court. 2/4

In view of the above said submission, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to dispose the application of the petitioner, pending in Na.Ka.No.1789/2023/A1, which was submitted for cancellation of subdivision and patta and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
