This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein to give police protection to the life and property of the petitioners herein as per the complaint dated 07.02.2020.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the first petitioner and the second petitioner belonged to two different communities and that they have married against the wishes of their parents. Due to which, the sixth respondent, who is the father of the second petitioner threatened them with dire consequences and thereby, the petitioners have sent a representation to the fourth respondent to provide appropriate protection. Since no action has been taken, the present petition has been filed.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the petitioners belongs to two different communities and that they have married against the wishes of their parents and thereby, the father of the second petitioner one A.Mohan has given a complaint. Based on which, enquiry has been initiated in C.S.R.No.115 of 2020 and the second petitioner has also given a complaint before the All Women Police Station, Andipatti seeking protection. He would further submit that based on the complaint given by the second petitioner, due enquiry will be conducted and necessary protection will be given to the petitioners.
4.Recording the aforesaid submission, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
