[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] Today, Mr.S.Arulselvan, Sub-Inspector of Police, Velayuthampalayam Police Station, Karur District, is present.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Vanitha, studying 1st year B.A. in Annai Mahalir College, Kunnachathiram, Karur District, went missing from 07.12.2018, in connection with https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
which, on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Velayuthampalayam Police Station Crime No.433 of 2018, for girl missing has been registered. Not satisfied with the progress of the investigation, she has filed the present habeas corpus petition for production of the alleged detenue Vanitha.
3. On reading of the affidavit filed by the petitioner, it is seen that Vanitha was studying 1st year B.A. and therefore, she must perforce be major.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the date of birth of Vanitha is 25.01.2002 and that she was in love with the third respondent and had eloped with him.
5. In such view of the matter, the habeas corpus petition is closed with a further direction to the respondent - Police to proceed with the investigation in Crime No.433 of 2018 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any.
