ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN,J) The petitioner is the elder sister of the detenu, viz., A.Pandiselvi @ Pandiammal, aged about 30 years and according to her, her sister got married and subsequently got divorce and the detenu along with her mother went out on 08.05.2019 and she was found missing on that day and a complaint in this regard is also resulted in registration of a case in Cr.No.222 of 2019 by the second respondent for "Woman missing" and the petitioner, being her sister, very much concerned about the safety and whereabouts of her sister, came forward to file this Habeas Corpus Petition.
2. Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Dinesh Babu, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the State, who would submit, on instructions that all efforts have been taken to trace the detenu and the investigation is also proceeding on the right lines. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. In the light of the above facts and circumstances, the second respondent is directed to expedite the process of
investigation and as and when the detenu is traced, she shall be produced before the Court of Judicial Magistrate No.I, Sivagangai for for passing appropriate orders as to her custody.
4. The second respondent is also directed to periodically inform the petitioner, as to the progress being made in the investigation. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sivagangai is also directed to monitor the investigation and if necessary, give appropriate instructions to the second respondent.
5. The Habeas Corpus Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
