The daughter of the petitioner had eloped with one Selvakumar on 21.01.2025 without informing to her parents. A complaint been lodged before the respondent police by the father on 22.01.2025. Thereafter, the present Habeas Corpus Petition is filed.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents states that pursuant to the petitioner's complaint, the respondent police registered the case and wherein search of the petitioner's daughter. Later, the respondent police received information from the Dindigul Medical College Police Station that the daughter of the petitioner and Selvakumar had loved each other and now they got married. This was informed to the petitioner and he has gone to the police station and gave a letter that he will not pursue the Habeas Corpus Petition and the complaint.

3.In the light of the fact that the daughter of the petitioner is major and she has left the home on her own and married the person of her choice, nothing survives for adjudication in the Habeas Corpus Petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
