ORDER

The petitioner is before this Court seeking a direction to the second respondent to disburse a sum of Rs. 2,85,00,000/- allegedly payable to him.

2.The petitioner claims that he was entrusted with a contract to supply 600 workers as frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the petitioner, he supplied 600 workers for the period from November 2020 to June 2021, and the second respondent had agreed to pay wages at the rate of Rs. 500 per day per worker. The petitioner contends that, having fulfilled his obligations under the contract, he is entitled to the said amount; however, the second respondent has failed to disburse the payment without assigning any valid reason.

3.The learned counsel for the second respondent submitted that the petitioner's representation would be considered in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within the time frame to be stipulated by this Court. 4.The said submission is placed on record.

5.In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.01.2025, on its own merits and in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and pass appropriate orders. The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
