PRAYER :-For Bail in Crime No.74 of 2022 on the file of the Respondent police.
ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Sole Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 25.01.2022 for the offences punishable under Section 4B(1) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 in Crime No.74 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that on 24.01.2022, the defacto complainant's daughter, namely, Pushpalakshmi, came in a twowheeler with her friend, for which, the petitioner scolded and beat her with hands. Due to which, the victim girl committed suicide by hanging herself. Hence, the complaint.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner is in judicial custody from 25.01.2022.

CRL OP(MD). No.3314 of 2022 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent would submit that investigation is yet to be completed. 5.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence alleged and also the facts that the petitioner is in judicial custody from 25.01.2022 and that the investigation is pending as stated by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at that point of time. 6.Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. sd/- 16/02/2022 / TRUE COPY / / /2022 Sub-Assistant Registrar (C.S.)
