ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to dispose of the statutory Appeal dated 10.08.2017 filed under Section 12 of Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and her mother are in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the subject property comprised in Survey No.1113/6, situated at Vilpatti Village, Kodaikanal Taluk, Dindigul District. During the resurvey conducted in the year 1992, the patta relating to the subject property was erroneously mutated in the name of one Gnanammal instead of the petitioner's mother by the revenue officials, and the property in Survey No.1113/8 was wrongly mutated in the petitioner's name. The petitioner became aware of the said error only in the year 2007. Thereafter, the petitioner's mother preferred a statutory appeal dated 10.08.2017 before the second respondent, seeking necessary correction of the revenue records. Despite
the lapse of considerable time, the second respondent has failed to conclude the enquiry and pass appropriate orders. Hence, the present writ petition.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the second respondent requires 12 weeks' time to complete the enquiry and pass orders in accordance with law after affording sufficient opportunity to all the stakeholders.

Recording the aforesaid submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to conclude the enquiry on the appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 10.08.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and also any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs. NCC : Yes / No (K.SURENDER, J.)
