ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.1437 of 2021 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Karur Town Police Station, Karur District.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's friend A1borrowed money from the defacto complainant, but the same was not paid. Thereafter, A1 went to the hospital and threatened the defacto complainant. Hence, the first respondent police registered a case against A1 including the petitioner herein. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he did not commit any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he is only a friend of A1, except this allegation, no allegation was made against him. Hence, this Court may issue a direction to the first respondent police to conclude the investigation within a period of three months and also permit the petitioner to produce necessary documents before the first respondent police to prove his innocence.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the first respondent would submit that the investigation will be completed within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court.

5.In view of the above, the first respondent police is directed to conclude the investigation within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to produce necessary documents before the first respondent to prove his innocence. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
