This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the 2nd respondent to conclude the enquiry based on complaint dated 25.01.2024 within a time frame fixed by this Court.
2. According to the petitioner, the 4th respondent is the daughter in law of the petitioner and the 3rd respondent is a priest in Temple. During the year 2020, the village people came to know about the intimacy about the 3rd and 4th respondents and the husband of the petitioner reprimanded the relationship between the 3rd and 4th respondents. Therefore, in the mean time, the husband of the petitioner, namely Gunasekar died on 11.09.2021 in a suspicious manner. The son of the petitioner is working as driver at Bangalore and he went to Bangalore for his duty. There were repeated phone calls between the 3rd and 4th respondents and on phone conversations, the petitioner came to know that her husband was killed by the 3rd respondent and also planned to kill the petitioner. Therefore, she lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent on 25.01.2025, but no action was taken. Hence, she filed this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents no.1 and 2 would submit that the date of death of said Gunasekar is 11.09.2021, but the petitioner lodged a complaint on 25.01.2025 and the complaint was received by the respondent on 28.01.2025. After receipt of the complaint, now it is under enquiry and they will complete the enquiry within two weeks.
4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer of the petitioner and without affecting the rights of the 3rd and 4th respondents, this Court dispensed with the notice to the 3rd and 4th respondents and inclined to pass orders in this case.
5. Since the 2nd respondent admitted the receipt of the complaint and the same is under enquiry, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry based on the complaint of the petitioner within two weeks from the date of this Order purely on merits and in accordance with law.
