O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to sanction and allow the petitioner to withdraw a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- from and out of his own accumulation of Provident Fund contribution available to the credit of the respondent for the marriage of his daughter within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is working as a Special Grade Driver in the respondent Corporation. He submitted an application on 18.11.2022 to the respondent to allow him to withdraw a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs) from and out of his own accumulated Provident Fund Contribution for the fulfilment of the commitment made by him during his daughter's marriage and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 18.11.2022, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application, dated 18.11.2022 and sanction the eligible amount, if any, pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
