ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the first respondent to reissue/renew a Passport bearing No. P0938327 to the petitioner, based on his explanation / representation dated 28.01.2026.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent brought to the notice of this Court that a criminal case is pending as against the petitioner in Crime No.30 of 2020 on the file of the second respondent police, which is calumniated in the filing of a charge sheet in C.C.No.1004 of 2025 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Orathanadu.

3. Considering the aforesaid observations, the petitioner is directed to approach the concerned trial Court seeking permission to go abroad. If any application is filed by the petitioner, the learned trial Judge 2/4

shall dispose of the same within a period of four weeks from the date of filing of the application. Based upon the order to be passed by the learned trial Judge, the first respondent is directed to proceed in accordance with law.

4. With the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
