ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer the case in S.C.No.142 of 2019 on the file of the Sessions Court, Mahalir Neethimandram, Thanjavur to the Sessions Court cum Mahila Court, Pudhukottai or any other competent Court in Pudhukottai in accordance with law.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that the defacto complainant is the influential person and he is capable of devious actions and that the petitioner is being threatened by unknown antisocial elements.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that no complaint has been given by the petitioner with regard to the threat and he has filed petition only for transfer.

4.In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that the apprehension of the petitioner is ill-conceived and this Court does not find any reason for transfer. However, in the event of any threat against the petitioner, he can approach the concerned police Station.

5.Recording the same, this criminal original petition stands closed. Consequently, the connected criminal Miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
