ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the application of the petitioner dated 15.12.2017 submitted under Rule 4(3) of Tamil Nadu Panchayats Building Rules, 1997.

2.Heard Mr.K.Samidurai, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.K.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader for the first respondent and Mr.N.Shanmugaselvam, learned counsel for the second respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission. 3.According to the petitioner, he proposed to construct a prayer hall in Survey No.561/4A1 at Maraneri Village, Sivakasi Panchayat Union, Virudhunagar District, for which, he made an application dated 15.12.2017 under Rule 4(3) of Tamil Nadu Panchayats Building Rules, 1997 before the first respondent, seeking permission. But, so far, no order has been passed. Hence, this writ petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Considering the above said facts and circumstances, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application dated 15.12.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the interested parties, if any.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
