the same and also directing the second respondent to cancel the selection of third respondent and appoint the petitioner as Village Assistant in Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned selection list dated 28.01.2023 for the post of Village Assistants in Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District, pursuant to the Notification, dated October 2022 and to quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to cancel the selection of third respondent and appoint the petitioner as Village Assistant in Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she has participated in the selection process to the post of Village Assistant in Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District. However, she was not selected. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the present writ petition has been filed challenging the selection of third respondent as Village Assistant, on the ground that the third respondent is not belong to same Taluk.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 on instructions would submit that the third respondent belongs to different Taluk and on receiving a complaint, the appointment of the third respondent is challenged and the official respondents have taken effective steps to cancel the appointment of the third respondent.

5. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 22.02.2023 akv
