O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the impugned order passed by the fourth respondent in the petitioner's online patta application in Application No.2025/0103/25/148601 dated 06.01.2026, rejecting the petitioner's request for patta, quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to grant patta to the petitioner for the lands comprised in Survey Nos. 1959/2, 1925, 1966/1D and 1996/3 situated at Yeathakovil, Aundipatti Village and Taluk, Theni District, by implementing the order passed by the Sub-Collector, Periyakulam in Pa.Mu.No. 8821/2024/A2 dated 23.09.2025.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Page No. 2 of 5

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's online application seeking issuance of patta was rejected by the impugned order without assigning any reasons and without issuing notice to the petitioner prior to passing of the said order.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that the impugned rejection order does not disclose that the petitioner was put on notice before passing the same.

5. In view of the above submission, the petitioner ought to have been put on notice before passing the impugned order. However, the impugned rejection order has been passed without doing so and even without assigning any reasons. Therefore, this Court permits the petitioner to make a fresh application before the second respondent seeking issuance of patta. On receipt of the same, the second respondent shall consider the application and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of such application. It is needless to state that before passing any orders, the petitioner and all other interested parties shall be put on notice and that Page No. 3 of 5

while disposing of the said application, the order passed by the Sub Collector, Periyakulam, in Pa.Mu.No.8821/2024/A2 dated 23.09.2025 shall be taken into consideration.

6. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
