O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking permission to conduct the "Kabadi" event on 25.01.2018 at 08.01 p.m. to 26.01.2018 at 11.00 p.m. at Nannimangalam Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District as per the petitioner's representation, dated 11.01.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the President of "Friends Sports Club" in Nannimangalam Village. The villagers and the "Friends Sports Club" are jointly conducting the Kabadi Meet for the past 25 years and this year, the villagers and armature association unanimously decided to celebrate the 26th Kabadi Meet between 25.01.2018 at https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

08.01 p.m. and 26.01.2018 at 11.00 p.m. at Nannimangalam Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Trichy District. Hence, he seeks police protection for the same.

4.Considering the said submissions, the respondent/the Inspector of Police, Lalgudi Police Station, Lalgudi, Trichy District, is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within 23.01.2018.

5. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
