Common Prayer: These Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 5th respondent to consider the proceedings of the 4th respondent on 28.04.2014 and to extend the benefits of G.O.Ms.No.297 Finance dated 26.08.2010 in Serial No.11 to the petitioner, who was retired in the cadre of Maternity Assistant and settle all the monetary benefits within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner in W.P.(MD) No.110 of 2018 was appointed on 10.01.1969 as Maternity Assistant at Anavarathanallur, Tirunelveli District now Thoothukudi District. The petitioner in W.P.(MD) No.1108 of 2018 was appointed on 02.10.1963 as Maternity Assistant at Melavasal, Cheranmahadevi Panchayat Union, Tirunelveli District. Both the petitioner retired from service on 31.05.2002 and 31.01.1998 respectively as a Special Grade Maternity Assistants. Pay anomaly has arisen between the Maternity Assistants and Auxiliary Midwives. The same will have to be rectified. The seventh respondent in both petitions have already submitted necessary proposals in this regard to the respective sixth respondents.

2.The respective sixth respondents are directed to forward the same forthwith to the fifth respondent. The fifth respondent is directed to pass orders thereon on or before 31.03.2018 in accordance with law.

3.These writ petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
