[Judgment of the Court was delivered by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J] This writ appeal is directed against the order of the learned Single Judge, dated 16.10.2018, passed in W.P.(MD).No.21635 of 2018, in and by which, a direction was issued to the respondent Police to give protection for the function scheduled to be held on 18.10.2018 and 19.10.2018.

2.Though this writ appeal was filed on 06.10.2018, it is coming for admission only today. Since the function was already performed in the month of October 2018, nothing survives in the writ appeal.

3.In view of the above, this writ appeal is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
