O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner upon considering her representation dated 04.02.2025.

The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's husband is the owner of the property comprised in S.No. 824/5 situated at 9/98, Maharajapuram, Levinchipuram Village, Rathapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District. By virtue of settlement deed executed by her husband, the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the said property. In the meantime, the legal heirs of one Paradesi Nadar are claiming the property by virtue of wrong entry made in the Patta. In the meantime, the petitioner started construction in the said property. While so, group of persons came to the said property and restrained the petitioner to put up construction. On 30.01.2025, some persons came to the petitioner's house and threatened the petitioner and abused in filthy language, caused serious threat to the life and limb of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent and she had also sent 2/6

representation on 04.02.2025 through speed post for seeking necessary police protection. So far, the respondent police have not taken any action. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the Respondents would submit that the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent police and immediately the respondent police issued CSR.No.3 of 2025. Now, the representation of the petitioner is under consideration and the enquiry is under progress. The petitioner failed to implead the private respondents in the said case.

4. In view of the above said submissions made by the Government Advocate, this Court directs the respondents to dispose the representation of the petitioner dated 04.02.2025 in accordance with law within a period of one week from the date of receipt of this order. 3/6

5. With the above said observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
