PRAYER in W.P.(MD)No.1167 of 2018:- Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to include the petitioner's name in the panel for promotion for the post of Administrative Officer/Account Officer in the Trichirapalli Corporation prepared by the 2nd respondent dated 27.12.2017 in his Na.Ka.No.6871/2014/C-1 (Centre) within a stipulated time as prescribed by this Court.
PRAYER in W.P.(MD)No.2530 of 2018:- Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of Writ of Certiorari calling for the records pertaining to the impugned orders passed by the 2nd Respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.1958/2016/C3/(Main) dated 31.10.2017 by confirming the order passed in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.1958/2016/C3/(Main) dated 02.03.2017 and quash the same as illegal. W.P.(MD)Nos.1167 & 2530 of 2018 COMMON ORDER Mr.A.Chandrakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would confirm that the petitioner, N.Rajamanickam has passed away on 09.12.2021. Writ Petition in W.P.(MD)No.1167 of 2018 is thus rendered infructuous, insofar as the prayer is for inclusion of his name for promotion panel.
2.As far as the second writ petition in W.P.(MD)No.2530 of 2018 is concerned, the challenge is to an order of censure. The punishment imposed upon the petitioner abates on his demise, rendering this writ petition also infructuous. Both the aforesaid Writ Petitions are thus dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
