Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3.

2. The private respondents were served and they had entered appearance on the last occasion but the learned counsel reports no instructions.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that a culvert was illegally put up over the petition-mentioned water body and he wants the same to be removed. His specific case is that it affects free flow of water.

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the jurisdictional Block Development Officer confirms that the culvert illegally put up by the private respondents would be removed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Recording the stand of the official respondents, this writ petition stands allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
