O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to provide electricity service connection to the Writ Petitioner by considering 2/6

the online application, dated 26.12.2025.

2.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the TANGEDCO submitted that the Petitioner's vendor had dues and therefore, the request of the Petitioner cannot be considered. 3.The learned counsel for the third respondent, who is the vendor of the Writ Petitioner had informed the Court that W.P(MD)No.18752 of 2024 filed for a Writ of Mandamus to accept a sum of Rs.43817.35/- an to restore the electricity connection which was disconnected due to default in payment. This Court, by order, dated 6.8.2024, directed the authorities to restore the electricity service connection on the basis of the above payment. The learned counsel for the third respondent submitted that he order of this Court ha been complied with.

4.The learned counsel for the TANGEDCO acknowledged the same. He further submits that the electricity connection can be given only on fresh application and the question of restoration of old service connection does not arise.

5.In view or the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to provide electricity service connection to the Writ 3/6

Petitioner on making fresh application and on payment of necessary charges, on the basis of the order passed by this Court in W.P(MD)No.18752 of 2024, dated 6.8.2024. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
