PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to disburse the pending work completed amount payable to the petitioner along with interest on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 24.01.2022 and 14.05.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Considering the limited scope of relief sought for by the petitioner, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner claims that despite undertakings given by the respondents, the petitioner's accounts have not been settled. The petitioner has already made a representation on 24.01.2022 and again, on 14.05.2024 to the respondents to disburse the pending amounts due and payable to the petitioner in respect of the 2/4

completed works. Without going into the merits of the entitlement of the petitioner, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 24.01.2022 and 14.05.2024 and pass orders with regard to any pending payments that may be due to the petitioner. The said representation shall be decided within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
