O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to accord permission and protection to the Musical Orchestra to be held on 25.01.2018 between 07.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m at Chinthamani village, Melagaram Post, Tenkasi Taluk, Tirunelveli District, during the celebration of temple festival of "Sri Sudalai Mada Swamy Aalayam.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is one of the residents of Chinthamani Village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tirunelveli District and the villagers of the said village are conducting festival in Sri Sudalai Mada Swamy Aalayam, during the Tamil month of "Thai", every year and this year, they have decided to conduct the said festival on 25.01.2018. During the above said festival, they have decided to conduct the Musical Orchestra between 07.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m Hence, he seeks police protection for the same.

4.Considering the said submissions, the respondent/Inspector of Police, Tenkasi Police Station, Tirunelveli District is directed to consider the representation given by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner on 20.01.2018 and pass appropriate orders as early as possible, by following the decision of the Honourable Supreme Court of India in Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs K.K.R.Magestic Colony Welfare Association and Others, reported in [(2000) 7 SCC 282].

5. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
