The petitioner is the mother of the detenu viz., Bebina, aged about 23 years. The petitioner's daughter was working as a nurse in a private hospital at Bangalore and she was in regular touch with her family members over phone. Suddenly, from 10.01.2025, her phone was switched off and her whereabouts were not known, despite search and enquires with her friends and relatives. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint regarding missing of her daughter before the second respondent police on 13.01.2025. A case was registered for Womam Missing in Crime No.30 of 2025. The present Hapeas Corpus Petition is filed alleging that the respondent police though had sufficient information that her daughter under illegal custdoy, they have not taken any steps to rescue her daughter.

2.The daughter of the petitioner called the respondent police and informed that she has married one Ajithkumar and living with him. The said fact is well known to her parents. But suppressing the said fact, the petitioner had filed the Habeas Corpus Petition.

3.The daughter of the petitioner has voluntarily appeared before this Court today along with her husband Ajithkumar and reported that she has married the said Ajithkumar in a Temple near Jammu Nathi, Thiruppathur District. 4.In view of the above fact that the daughter of the petitioner is 23 years old and willingly married the said Ajithkumar and living with him peacefully, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as devoid of merits.
