ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents herein to consider petitioner's representation dated 10.07.2023 in respect the transfer of the Patta in the name of the petitioner Aranmanai Raman Chettiar Annadhana Chathiram by its Managing Trustee A.R.Jayaraman for the lands and the buildings situated in T.S.No.1045/1 Old Elivettithidal, Church Road, Ward No.6, Ullur Vattam, Kumbakonam.
2. Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the first respondent. Mr.A.Kannan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the second respondent. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2/5
3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent would submit that the petitioner sent a representation dated 10.07.2023 to the first respondent and he is not the competent authority to consider the same.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the second respondent would submit that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kumbakonam is the competent authority to consider the case of the petitioner. If the petitioner approaches the said authority, he will consider his case in accordance with law.
5. It is seen that the petitioner sent a representation dated 10.07.2023 to the first respondent/the Commissioner, Kumbakonam City Municipal Corporation for transfer of patta. However, the competent authority is the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kumbakonam.
6. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, the petitioner is directed to submit a representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kumbakonam 3/5
along with a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kumbakonam shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of sixteen (16) weeks thereafter.
7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
