O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to measure and survey the land in Re-survey No.137/2, measuring an extent of 15 cents on the western side out of the total extent of 61 cents, leaving 15 cents on the eastern side and 16 cents on the western side, situated at Perungudi Village, Madurai South Taluk, now Thiruparankundram Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.12.2025.

2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that a representation has been submitted for the survey of the property in question and for demarcation of its boundaries. Page No. 2 of 5

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that subject to the petitioner paying the necessary survey fee and after consideration of the claims of the parties, appropriate steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in question in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

Recording the aforesaid submissions, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.12.2025 and subject to the petitioner paying the necessary survey fee, if the same has not already been paid, to survey and demarcate the petitioner's land after considering the claims of all parties and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to pursue their remedies before the Civil Court. It is needless to state that before surveying the land, notice shall be issued to the adjacent landowners and other interested parties, if any. Page No. 3 of 5

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
