This writ petition has been filed seeking permission to conduct the "Kabadi Tournament" from 06.01.2018 at about 11.30 P.M. to 07.01.2018 at about 11.30 P.M. and to provide police protection on the same to the RSE Memorial Sports Club with Ameture Kabadi Club by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is one of the Villagers of the Kadiyakuruchi Village. The villagers are conducting the Kabadi Tournament for the past 50 years and this year, they have decided to conduct the 50th year Kabadi Tournament from 06.01.2018 at about 11.30 P.M. to 07.01.2018 at about 11.30 P.M. Hence, he seeks police protection for the same.

4.Considering the said submissions, the second respondent/Inspector of Police, Jeeyapuram Police Station, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on or before 10.01.2018.

5. With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
