O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to produce the corpus of the petitioner's wife by name Muthulakshmi aged about 21 years from the illegal custody of the 4th respondent before this court. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner fallen love with one Muthulakshmi, daughter of the fourth respondent and that got married on 01.02.2020 at Vailuganthamman Temple near Thirupparankundram, Madurai. While so, the fourth respondent physically took his wife from her hostel on 05.02.2020 and kept her in his custody illegally and an attempt has been made to arrange marriage with someone else against her wishes. He would further submit that the petitioner is studying 4th year B.E., in the discipline of mechanical in Kongu Engineering College, Erode and the girl Muthulakshmi is studying 3rd year B.Sc., Degree in the discipline of physics.

Crl.O.P(MD)No.2987/2020 Muthulakshmi has been produced by the second respondent. This Court enquired her and she stated that she is illegally detained by her father and attempt is being taken for her marriage to someone else against her wishes. She expressed her willingness to go along with the petitioner.

4.Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. The third respondent is directed to ensure the safety of the petitioner and his wife Muthulakshmi.
