Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus to set aside the retention for the present part only in the order dated 10.10.2012 with a direction to the respondents to maintain status quo as on the date of the earlier judgment of this court dated 17.12.1975. ORDER : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of MR.T.N.VIDYANANDAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.A.K.BASKARA PANDIAN, Special Government Pleader on behalf of the Respondents, the court made the following order:- (Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN,J) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ The matter has been adjourned very many times for reporting compliance and vide order dated 16.04.2019, the matter was directed

to be called today finally with the rider that in the event of noncompliance, some responsible official from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Judicial and Political Pension Section), Government of India, shall remain personally present before this Court to assist the Court and the copies have also been despatched to all the respondents and also to the Secretary to Government, Ministry of Home Affairs (Judicial and Political Pension Section), Government of India, New Delhi. However, no responsible official is present before this Court.

2. The petitioner / party-in-person is absent.

3. Mr.A.K.Baskara Pandian, learned Special Government Pleader undertakes to inform Mr.V.Kathirvelu, learned Assistant Solicitor General of India as to the said order and prays for some accommodation.
