The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the first respondent to issue a fresh passport to the petitioner based upon his application in File Number. MD1071739463118.
2. It is brought to the notice of this Court that a criminal case is pending as against the petitioner in Crime No.127 of 2019 on the file of the third respondent police station.

3. The learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent also brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioner is already holding a passport whose validity is up to the year 2028. However, suppressing the said fact, a fresh application has been filed.
4. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the Writ Petition with liberty to workout his remedy in the manner known to law and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.
5. With the above said liberty, this Writ Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. There shall be no order as to costs. 16.02.2026 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No ebsi 3/5
