This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to grant permission to perform the programmes such as "Innisai Kacheri" programme on 02.02.2018 at night 06.00 p.m to 12.00 a.m. at Punitha Sebasthiyar Church situated in Muthalpuram, Kannanoor Village, Nanguneri Taluk, Tirunelveli District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2018.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the village people are celebrating the festival by conducting Innisai Kacheri programme such as cultural Programme, on 02.02.2018. They have decided to celebrate the festival at the above said place and for that they have already given a representation dated 20.01.2018 to the respondent and no order has been passed till now.

4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 20.01.2017 and dispose of the same at early by considering the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of Church of God (Full Gospel) in India Vs. K.K.R, Majestic Colony Welfare Association and Ors, reported in 2001 - 1 - L.W. (Crl.) 233. 5.With the aforesaid observations, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
