ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner from the hands of the respondents 4 to 6, on the basis of the complaint dated 04.02.2021.

2.The case of the petitioner is that she is a widow and residing in the address mentioned in the petition along with her children. There was a sale agreement for a sum of Rs.18,00,000/- between the petitioner and the 4th respondent on 15.07.2020. On the 1/3

basis of the sale agreement, she paid a sum of Rs.17,90,000/- to the 4th respondent. After that, the 4th respondent did not turn up to execute the sale deed.

3.On the intervention of the elders, the 4th respondent gave an undertaking on 10.10.2020 and possession was also handed over on the same day. Even though possession was handed over to the petitioner, the 4th respondent violated the undertaking given by him and dragged the execution of the sale deed. Later, the petitioner filed a suit in O.S.No.174 of 2020 before the Principal District Court, Thanjavur for specific performance. The 4th respondent is causing hindrance to the petitioner with the help of other private respondents. In spite of the repeated complaints made by the petitioner, there is no proper response on the side of the official respondents. So, this Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking police protection. 4.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, an enquiry was undertaken and during the course of enquiry, both side parties made a compromise, by which, the case came to be closed on 19.04.2021.

5.In view of the compromise entered between the parties amicably, the question of police protection may not arise. 6.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.Side), this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
