PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to stop the proposed construction of the common toilet in the middle of the common road comprised in S.No.154, Sivagiri Village, Idumban Kovil Road, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District and to shift the construction of the public toilet to the nearby Government Poramboke land on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 25.01.2024.

[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] Prayer in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to stop the proposed construction of the common toilet in the middle of the common road in Survey No.154, Sivagiri Village, Idumban Kovil Road, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District and to shift the construction of the public toilet to the nearby Government Poramboke land, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 25.01.2024.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, submits that the construction of toilet in the land, which is classified as "cart track" has been dropped.

3. Recording the above submission of the learned Government Advocate, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
